We are writing this letter in reference to Howie Construction. We purchased a new home built by Howie Construction in February of 2008 and have been absolutely satisfied. Not only have we been happy with our home, but also, our relationship with their company after the purchase has only added to the pride we have in our home, and to the confidence we have in Howie Construction.
We were fortunate. We didn't know the good builders from the bad builders, or the honest from the dishonest, until after buying our house. We had looked at many homes from many different builders before finding our house, but only after buying did we truly learn about the companies building in the region.
Most builders are okay, but there are some builders who are not so reputable, who we later learned of--from other home buyers and from folks in the building trade--whose houses we could readily have bought. However, for the buyers of those homes it was always too late when important facts about their home's construction, or about their builder, were discovered. No builder is going to inform you that their craftsmanship is shoddy, or that they cut corners that will affect the integrity of the home itself, so we were pleased, of course, to learn that Howie Construction was not only known for the soundness of their structures, but was most likely, one of the best builders we could have had.
After the sale, our experience with Darin Howie has been great. He's always made himself available to answer any questions, he's kept every promise made, and has checked back with us regularly just to make sure everything is fine. We can genuinely say that he takes pride in the building that he does and in the neighborhoods he builds, and he really seems to stake his reputation upon his customer's satisfaction.
Without a doubt, we can only hope that when we are ready for our next home, that Darin Howie, and Howie Construction, will be available to build it for us. We also, happily grant Howie Construction permission to provide our phone number to any prospective customer, for further reference.
